The INVISIBLE within the VISIBLE explores the realm of exuberant abstract painting by highlighting three distinct and innovative artistic styles that share the commonality of expressing intimate emotions through the potent use of vivid color palettes and brushstrokes which convey the sensation of bursts of motion. AMY COHEN BANKER’s compelling paintings are a true extension of her mind and soul, striking the audience with their honesty, beauty and expressiveness whether they are entirely non-representational or abstractions of flora and fauna. ROSAE NOVICHENKO creates expressionistic depictions of natural elements, like fiery sunsets and vivacious floral bouquets, augmenting the natural appearance of the wild by infusing the scenes with opulent color and bold lines. PAUL UYEHARA’s energetic abstract canvases break free of the shackles of their two-dimensional forms, confronting the viewer with their bold colors, expressive brushstrokes, and incredibly dynamic shapes.
PARADIGMS of LUMINESCENCE highlights three innovative artists who capture the emotion and beauty of physical and psychological landscapes, using the power of memory and imagination to imbue their scenes with unmatched aesthetic and expressive strength. CORA CRONEMEYER’s whimsical paintings demonstrate an amazing understanding of the psychological and emotional power of color, breathing new life into universal social themes through her vibrant color palette. PAUL KENTZ paints from photos he takes around New York City, creating gorgeous scenes in his “Creative Realist” technique, which can be characterized by pristine brushstrokes, vibrant color and a glorious Impressionistic portrayal of sunlight. SHERRIE RUSS LEVINE creates spontaneous impressions of landscapes and city scenes that she encounters during her travels in Italy, transporting viewers to the rolling hills of Tuscany and inciting reflection on the splendid beauty of nature and our wonderful world.
